Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

When did the clinic open?

Crawl Walk Jump Run opened in 2006.

Are all of your therapists certified?

Yes, in the state of Michigan our therapists have to be certified/licensed in order to treat. Our therapists also go through additional health and safety training through Macomb County to better serve you.

Do your technicians have training too?

While our technicians do not have to be licensed or certified to assist the therapist in a treatment session, all of our technicians go through training to work at our facility. Our technicians, and even our front office staff, attend the same health and safety training through Macomb County as our therapists. In addition, the majority of our technicians are currently attending school to become a Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist, as well as other careers within the medical field.

What is a screening?

At Crawl Walk Jump Run, we offer a free, no-obligation 30 minute screening within our physical, occupational, and speech therapeutic disciplines. During this screening, you have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with an evaluating therapist to discuss your concerns and learn the possibilities our therapeutic services can offer.

How long are your therapy sessions?

Every individual has a customized treatment plan, so each therapy session length may vary from individual to individual.

Our physical and occupational therapy services typically run 60 – 90 minutes in length, with an initial evaluation running 60 minutes. Our speech therapy services typically run 45 minutes in length, with an initial evaluation running 60 minutes long.

Many individuals have intensive therapeutic programs and receive individual therapy sessions lasting for around 3 hours.

Do you only treat certain ages at your clinic?

At Crawl Walk Jump Run there is no age limit for who we treat within our physical, occupational, and speech disciplines. We have treated as young as 2 months and as old as late 80’s. At Autism University, we treat up to age 18.

Do we need a script from a doctor to receive therapy?

A script is not needed in Michigan for physical therapy services, however, scripts are needed for occupational and speech therapy services.

You aren’t currently in network with my insurance, what do I do?

We recommend that you call your network provider as we do see insurances offer out of network coverage for individuals seeking specialized health services, such as our intensive therapy programs.

We do also accept Private Pay for those that would like to come to our clinic. We have specific pricing for each therapeutic discipline and specialty services such as CranioSacral Therapy and the RT600™. Please call us for the most accurate and up-to-date pricing.

How will we know if the clinic is closed or delayed to open due to unforeseen circumstances like a snowstorm or power outage?

We ensure to call each individual scheduled for therapy services on the day affected to inform them of the closing or delay. We also post to our company Facebook page and our website to inform everyone.

What is DocuSign?

This is a new electronic system we use that is HIPPA certified and safe for you to fill out the paperwork needed in order to receive therapeutic services at our facility.

What is Virtru?

Virtru is a secure system that we use to encrypt our emails. We use this for the protection of sensitive information like a person’s name, diagnosis, schedule, etc.

What are your hours?
