With the warmer months here, it’s a great time to dust off your bike and helmet and take a ride. There are many benefits from bike riding including muscle and bone strengthening. Additionally, riding a bike increases endurance as well as coordination, visual scanning, self regulation, balance and not to mention it’s just a fun way to get around!
Bike riding is a great family activity everyone can enjoy, with many different bike options out there, from tricycles that are both toddler and adult size to two wheeled bikes.
Here are some great reasons to start riding today:

- Increased balance and coordination
- Improve and create a positive mental attitude riding a bike can assist in relieving stress

- Increased self awareness and visual scanning
Bike riding should be safe and fun! Make sure to plan for rest breaks when taking little riders to help build the strength and endurance. Get out and enjoy the fresh air, sunshine and create memories and skills that last a lifetime!
