Optimal health is how you feel in your body as a whole. It includes your physical, emotional, needs as well as the ways in which you form relationships. While it sounds like it would take a lot of work to achieve all of that at one time, there are quite a few ways you can do it with little to no extra energy
Downtime and Rest:
The brain requires adequate Downtime/Rest: to recuperate from daily stress and to process information.
Nurturing
Nurturing can come in form of parent-child interaction including: eye contact, talking/sharing of feelings, touch, being held, hugged, having basic needs met, and feelings of being understood.
Stimulation
Stimulation is best achieved in natural environments and with breaks of low stimuli. It should be done in appropriate amounts and times.
Move and Feel your Body
Moving your body by doing gentle and rigorous exercise or moving in rhythmic and different directions. In addition, it helps to have a variety of sensory experiences including deep pressure to integrate the whole Nervous System.
